Hatred and Discrimination
There’s little room for difference in some groups and churches.
Everyone must be the same, like a row of thin white birches.
If anyone even tries to deviate from the norm
or tries to befriend someone different and be patient and warm
they practically get lynched by some; the shame is very clear.
They’re harassed and bullied if they any more go near
their friends, or their enemies, for that matter.
This is isolation tactics intending to scatter
the good and unite the bad, but the truth is that
the bad person isolates themselves, like a vicious angry cat.
I mean nobody’s really bad but their attitudes are.
And when they get together it makes me want to travel far.
I hate their hatred, but not them. Their discrimination takes the cake.
They say the blacks have low IQs and that women are really hard to take.
They say the mentally ill’s illnesses are 100% fake
and also say they’d love to give a rebellious child a good hard shake.
They don’t like gays at all; they say they’re a threat to civilized culture. Really? For real?
They say it’s a crime to have emotions. But what about the HATE THEY FEEL?
